I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
